I know this may seem a foolish request as to where is the Master Cylinder for the clutch, but I can not see a separate part, item for the master clutch cylinder. Is it using the fluid from the brake master? In removing my starter I wanted more space to work and dismounted the slave cylinder. Needing to replace the slave cylinder I had a had time trying to retract the piston in the slave. I opened the bleeder on the slave and got the piston to retract. A note that the color of the fluid was a nasty rusty brown. Previous owner did little for maintenance, another job to flush the clutch hydraulics. But I fail to see where the Clutch Master cylinder is hiding. Any ideas?

It's integrated into the pedal assembly.

It's easily one of my least favorite jobs to do on tacoma. The pedals used to crack and we had to change the whole stupid thing.

You are not serious! No separate container of brake fluid some where? How would I know if it were low of fluid?

Maybe that is why the color of the fluid I bled was so dark and rusty. I wonder what dealer would charge for a flush now that truck has almost 200K. For such a well thought of truck there are issues from the plastic coolant by pass pipe I just replaced. the starter I removed a nasty test of patience, coolant and vacume hoses replaced because of age15 years coolant did not need to be replaced did due to age, pricey special hoses from Toyota in Canada $450.
