When driving there is a noise produced by road surfaces on the passenger side towards the rear.
Sounds like a zipper pull hitting something to almost a squeak. Have probed all around that side of cab, under seats etc and cannot find anything that would make the noise.
Tried seats up seats down headrest off and no luck. It's nothing I have in the cab.
Anyone have anything like this? I've got to get someone in the back seat to try and pin point it.
My wife is of no help with comments like (" What noise?). Thanks.

I have something similar on the passenger side that I finally isolated in the headliner right above the passenger headrest. Whenever it starts up, I give the area a firm backhand and it goes away anywhere from a couple days to a couple of weeks. A wire or something left behind during assembly? Hell if I know. Was thinking about making a small hole and spraying insulation or something in there. It'd probably stain, so I haven't. Sometimes I think about taking a blowtorch to the whole situation but I refrain somehow.

The headliners are installed with the wires attached to them. Just had headliner replaced this past spring. Safelite screwed it up installing back window. Also B- pillar creaks at headliner. Many have complained about that. I slipped a piece of foam, between B-plilar and headliner.

I wish. Then I could fix it. Put in the back seat today as we drove and she pushed on things but could not pin point the noise. Seems to be coming from the back seats and got more noticeable when she got back up front. I've had the seats in all positions and pushed and pounded on everything and get a noise but start driving down the road and the vibrations set it off.
Not headliner or sunroof related that I can tell so far.

Man sometimes this noise develops out of my passenger side , but she comes and goes.
    :rimshot:

seriously my 2 lo wires need to get tightened up way better than what I did and sometimes that titter tatter gets real intense.

but I have had wire bundles tapping away in my glove box along with other random plastic trinkets tapping incessantly286B8160-6A25-4650-8AFC-EB5B49D232D0.jpg

Is it a ZZZZZZZZZ from air intrusion making something like a piece of weatherstripping vibrate? Does it do it at a certain speed or all the time? If at certain speeds or above some MPH, is there a side wind that makes it worse?

All of the random vibrations in the interior of my truck worked themselves out after about 18K miles. Manual tranny shifts smoother now too. How many miles?

No it is more like a zipper pull jingling to a squeak sound only when road input jostles the truck.
