I just purchased a JBL system out of a 2017 Tacoma Limited. I have a 2019 Tacoma SR5 with the standard stereo system with no AMP/Sub. Yes, I know that folks are not super excited about the JBL system but I got a great deal. I need some advice and help hooking up the AMP/Sub along with the head unit. I plugged in the new head unit using the existing wiring harness and everything is working except the volume control. Looking at the Tacoma world forum I have found a few posts but I am at a loss as to where to get the right wiring harnesses. Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

i believe what you're looking for is a "main body wiring harness".

there are no adapters or add-on's for what you're looking for. options really are limited to buying the harness from a dealer, if they'll even sell it to you without a compatible VIN. or locating a wrecked 3rd gen jbl-equipped truck, and gutting the wiring harness yourself.

Upgrading that wiring harness is going to be a huge pita. It will literally be easier to go aftermarket.
