Headed home this morning after quartering up the deer . Skinned him out last night . One buck tag in this state and done .

It was just 10 minutes to last light, so my iPhone 13 Pro picture came out pixelated like a Motorola flip phone.

 

Not Spypoint. The budget price is tempting, and they do indeed work; just never when you need them to. As for trespassers, cell cam pics probably won't get you anywhere with local police; usually have to go the Game Warden route, and even that is probably unlikely to help find resolution, unless you've got them patterned better than your deer, and the GW can catch them in the act.

 

FYI when doing a skull mount you can take an air hose with long nozzle on the end and blow the brain out the back. Just don't stand near that end or do it in your garage

 

I've decided the next buck I kill is getting its head buried in some dirt for about a year. I love the brownish stain it gives it, and really seems like a no mess solution for euro mounts. Never tried it, but looks beyond simple.

I may try that on the next one, I read you need to cover the antlers up with something to keep the squirrels from gnawing on em.
