blackout emblems, black tailgate letters, amp powersteps installed yesterday -- i can now officially get into the truck without contorting myself completely. within a few days, i'll try my hand at a new black decal on the back sides of the bed -- already got the originals off.

 

i'm crap with taking pics . . . gonna shoot for this weekend though, if i don't screw up the decal.

really didn't even care about the "power" part of the steps, they just had the drop i really needed. at least i don't hate getting into the truck anymore.

 

Installed my Mountain Hatch today. Also ordered a Power Tray for my Switch Pro I intend to add. I guess I could have waited till friday to order both and try to get the sale price. Seems Mountain Hatch will have a 20% off if you order tomorrow. Don't see one for the Power Tray.

I went with snail armor as I’ve been cooking on my tailgate for the last 8 months. Aluminum vs HDPE. Can even set the hot ass cast iron pan on it.

I've been wondering about those seat jackers. I'm already really tight in the cockpit though. Not sure I need the steering wheel rubbing my thighs. ;]

 

That instrument cluster clear plastic is the worst. Never touched mine in 11 months. Used a can of computer air the other day and the shit is hazy and scratched.

Any hints for putting the ppf on it?

 

Just spray it with their solution and push out the air bubbles. Really easy to apply. Can remove the cluster if you want but there's no reason to. There is another site that makes precut film for it (it rhymes with bcreen brotech), but you can't link them on this forum IIRC. Have had it on mine for 2y and no issues.

my radio doesn’t mute when the nav is giving me directions either, BUT I’ve never had Nav in any truck of mine in the last 46 years that I’ve owned trucks, so I love it!!!!

 

You can by cheaper ones on Amazon, I think I paid 30 or 40 bucks. They definitely helped my seating position and made it more comfortable.

 

I put the soft topper flaps up today. Reminds me of the 1st gen 4 runner bikini tops.

Front rubs a bit on turns, so I have some trimming to do. Also need to calibrate the speedometer and the TPMS sensors (I put new ones in).

 

It was 80 Degrees in VA today. Wash and wax.

 

So far its been great, and surprisingly quieter than i imagined. I never had any issues whatsoever with the C rated Ridge Grapplers but wanted to step up in size and also into an E rated M/T to feel much more confident while off road. I am very happy with my choice, and the shop i dealt with was amazing! Thank you!
