More of a log than a build thread, but I have dreams of getting my truck dialed in for family fun and utility. Not planning on driving anything more tricky than a carriage road.

The 'space shuttle' is a little do-all truck for everything from hardware, lumber, dump, and craigslist runs to family camp, bike, and ski adventures. Hope to build it out some day with a cap or lightweight wedge style camper for longer missions. Have been dreaming of my own 'Lunar Module' since I was a kid.

Small things I did right away:
Floor Mats - Husky x-act fit
Phone Mount - Hondo Garage Un-Holey dash mount with Ram quick grip phone holder
Tie Downs - Replaced the missing Oem cleats
Brighter headlights - Sylvania 9003 Silverstar Halogens

Loaded the back seat storage with a few things (wool blanket, gloves, tarp, rope, brush saw, rachet straps, etc), and I've been driving it daily since day 1.

Just had it's 150k service, replaced the rack & pinion, and outer tie rods, Steering feels much sharper now. I'm working my way through the preventative maintenance. There was some slop in the steering when I first test drove it, the mid steering shaft had been replaced already, Ball Joints seem OK. Don't think I'll weld the upper steering shaft but I may try the shim after taking care of a few other things.

Want to treat the frame with cosmoline, but it's tough to find time to get to that before winter. Hope I can get to that soon.

On a budge but I'm on the lookout for:
    6' cap/shell or soft topper
3rd gen take off suspension (need rear leafs soon)
Oem fj cruiser 17" steel wheels
Amber fog lenses (for snow driving and vibes)
TRD Pro style grill (I don't care if it's overplayed, that TOYOTA grill looks great)
