    Washed it this weekend and it didn’t change. I’ll try some wax.

    Yup, if wax doesn't do the trick try a hybrid or cutting compound. Nothing too aggressive. If not, you can always hyperdip or plastidip everything if it bothers you that much.

    I did, but the marks were there when I got the wheels. Maybe from the previous removal?
