What is this plug for ?

Howdy all,

while taking apart the front bumper of my Tacoma 2016 I notice this plug that didnt have anything plugged to it. The wire runs directly with the sensor/pump of that reservoir. any idea what connects to it or what it is for?

 

My guess would be foglights

 

I think the fog light harness is on the right side of his hand in the picture. I think the canadian tacomas have a sensor for the washer fluid level where ours are wired for but dont have it?

 

not really, the foglights were connected elsewhere.

 

As mentioned, it's a plug for the washer fluid sensor. Don't bother trying to make it work for our (USA) trucks, there's no support
in the instrument cluster for it. Ask me how I know...

 

how do you know it ?
