What kind of a heathen doesn't cut the tail off a zip tie?

 

Probably the same kind that doesn't wash their truck.

 

We don't know, maybe he want to save it for the next job!

 

Maybe I'm daft but I genuinely don't understand, what does this fix?

 

i'm curious to know as well..

 

I'm thinking it fixes gear hunting or maybe increases MPG. Hard to say.

 

or stops frame rust.

The hinges bind and brake off, how does a cable tie do any thing? But I'll give you an easy answer to the door paint. The new cover is not painted, there are a few tabs that hold the cover on gently pry them up and remove the outer cover. Do the same with the old one put the original back on push the tabs down with your fingers install the new assembly. A little WD 40 once in a while on the hinge does wonders.
