Usually I have what I need within 1-2 days. Once I think it was 2-3 days but I ordered on Monday and wasn't getting to the job till the weekend anyways so I didn't care.

I used to buy from Boch South exclusively until they ended the "buy online, free pickup in store". Back then, the online portal didn't charge out of state buyers sales tax, so it was very cheap. Their prices were the best back then, and still very good today. I do buy a couple things from them occasionally now, like my rear bumper early this year, which I was refunded the shipping cost and told to come pick it up from them.

But my local dealer (Toyota of Smithfield) recently started online parts shopping and has free pick up, so even paying the sales tax and slightly higher price than other online Toyota dealers, it ends up being cheaper getting from them.

How much? I did my crawl space and left a few areas light because I was running out, I'd love to go back and fill them in.

That's the issue I'm having. I've ordered from other dealerships around the US and they have great pricing but then like $20+ for shipping. Not saying I want free shipping but at least give me something if I'm dropping $100+ for some bolts...

Answering my own quote. If I do a meet up / Gtg it will be for fluids and grease. All the mods I had on my list are done. Thankfully

So, I drove a new F-150 today. That was a mistake because it made me really second guess the Tundra idea. Literally everything about the truck was nicer. Granted, it is more expensive too.

The dealer agreed to invoice pricing via email, then I got there and it was an old school dealer experience - guy going back and forth to the sales manager - sales guy saying he didn't think they'd do invoice. Eventually, they did invoice, but with an extreme low ball on trade. I pointed out that the few trucks nearly identical to mine with similar miles are listed for ~$35-38k on dealer lots and I don't think $30k is a big ask on trade. It's lower than some of the book values and at least 3-4k under what these trucks are selling for. They said they'd be lucky to get $30k for mine, and it's got a lot of miles and will need a lot of attention before they can sell it, so the highest they'd go was $24,500. That peeved me because of how I take care of my vehicles. The truck is immaculate, maintenance is all way ahead of schedule, you aren't going to find a nicer 75,000 mile F-150.

Eventually, he says he could give me what I wanted on trade if I paid MSRP for the new truck, but I can't expect wholesale pricing on a truck and blue book value on a trade. Funny, I've paid invoice or near it on my last two Fords and the trade value I got was always what I expected. When we traded my fiancée's CX-5, the number they gave me was right in the middle of the range I thought they'd come in with too. I don't think I'm the one estimating wrong here.

It was a nice day for a drive, at least!

Last two sales I had were more than I paid. But I had to resurrect one from years in a barn. But the other was modded by me from stock. 1500$ for the barn find sold for 1800$ and a used KIA stinger bought for 24000$ sold 4 years later for 28000$. I’ve lost money on every vehicle before and probably since. But there’s a Harley and my Tacoma left so there’s that.
