Westin Sportsman Brush guard. Sony XAV-AX5600 head unit, head, and taillight strobes.
I have a Sony XAV-AX5000 head unit in my Gen2 Tacoma 2011. My truck has a backup camera which normally appears on the rearview mirror in a small corner. I know it is possible for the backup camera to be viewed on the head unit as it was visible once when I pressed the "Rearview" button on the head unit. However, it no longer appears in the rearview mode or automatically when reversing. How do I fix it not showing up? It says "No signal" or "no input" or something of the like. It is updated to the newest firmware and my backup camera still works.
    Anything helps.
Thanks so much and have a great day!

Not familiar with this unit but installed a Pioneer in my wife's RAV4. If it was working before, check your settings, from time to time she accidentally turns off the camera in settings. Easy to do with these touch screens. Was it installed from factory or after you got it? Otherwise it's entirely possible there is a wire broken somewhere or the camera decided to die, time to get out the multimeter and some long wire and start testing.

really need to verify that your reverse wire is still connected to the radio, as well as the camera's power and video signals.

and some models of reverse camera, at least the 3rd gen, possibly some of the 2nd gen's, require a 6v camera power adapter off aftermarket radios. the straight 12v power that aftermarket gear puts out will burn the camera out.
