Bought brand new (delivery miles) TRD OR wheels + tires. Is there a way to tell if they have TPMS?

I bought brand new take off TRD OR alloys with the stock Goodyear Wrangler tires off of FB marketplace. The tires and wheels still even have the yellow stickers to show the balance points. There are wheel weights on the inside. Is there a way to tell if they have stock TPMS without taking off the tires?

Do they have rubber or metal valve stems?

The current generation tpms are rubber.

Only manual Canadian models are sold without tpms.

    Almost all Tacomas have it.

My steelies have metal stems with a hex.

But to my knowledge the steelies use a different type of TPMS

I guess I want to check if they swapped the TPMS into a different wheel and remounted the tires.

If any of the tires have white lubricant residue, it can be a sign that they were taken out. Besides that, go to discount tire & they have a scanner that can tell you & if they are in there, they will program them to your truck free of charge. Took me a total of maybe 5 min without appointment.

@bbiq-chicken that would be my recommendation as well. Discount Tire will do a free TPMS inspection and only takes a few seconds with our scan tool.
