2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner DC 3.4L A/T. I need help repairing a damaged connector for the upstream A/F sensor. When I bought the truck I found the wires for this A/F sensor cut and disconnected. There was no connector attached. I went to the junk yard and cut a factory connector out of a 3rd gen 4runner to use for repairing this connection. The problem is I have no idea how to match up the wires from the vehicle wiring harness side to the A/F Sensor wires. The vehicle harness wiring colors to this A/F sensor consist of the following: white, white with red stripe, pink, purple. The pink and purple wire are then joined together and soldered onto a large black with pink stripe single wire. The wires from my A/F sensor are blue, white, and 2 black wires. Any idea how to match these wires up?

Never worked on a 1st gen tacoma but I would bet that the you could use the other banks not damaged O2 sensor wiring to determine which wire goes to which pin. Does that make sense?

I'm not really concerned with the color of the replacement connector wiring. I am not replacing the existing O2 sensor at this time. I am simply trying to "re-connect" the existing wiring that you see in the first 2 photos. The O2 sensor has two black wires, a white, and a blue. That sensor appears to be an aftermarket. The vehicle harness wiring has a purple and pink wire that a both connected to a thick (probably 10 gauge? wire) that is black with a pink stripe. Then there are two what look like 18 gauge wires that are white, and white with red stripe. I need to know how these 4 wires should be hooked up to each other. Once I know that I will just make sure that they line up correctly through the existing wiring that I solder to in the replacement connector and I will put a label on those wires in case the O2 sensor needs to be replaced.

That rear O2 sensor appears to be the original and does not have a connector. The wires are wrapped in a plastic conduit and routed into the cab under the passenger seat. So, that is not going to be a way to solve the problem. Thank you for your response. Really hoping an exhaust guy who has replaced a lot of these chimes in. I'm sure I am overthinking this but I have never dealt with O2 sensors.

@Dm93 Thank you for the information. I'm closer now I just need to know how to determine pin location in the connector??? I went to NAPA and they showed me a DENSO A/F Sensor with the plug. Those wires are oriented (if looking into the open end of the plug) with the two black wires on the top, white on the botton left, and blue on the bottom right.

The pin numbers should be stamped into the plastic body of the connector, if not I'll grab you a pinout later.
