I got these preassembled from a guy locally. He said the springs were from his low mileage truck and he had them power coated.
They were set to the highest notch which should be 2”.
I installed the UCA at the same time.
I just sat it on the ground and it’s 4” higher not 2”
So I can take it all apart and move the clips tomorrow but I’m wondering does the UCA give any lift?
I wanted to do 2” in the front and 1” in the rear.
I’m thinking putting them on the bottom grove and still getting the 2”.
So my guess is the springs are not stock, 4wd springs that might be stiffer, or the UCA gave me some lift?
    Any ideas?

UCA's give no lift. If you can contact that guy and see if he remembers what springs they are. Also did you just set on ground, or did you drive it around a bit? Over tighten control arms? Nothing should be tightened/torqued until it's on ground.

Is your truck stock weight? Was the local guys truck stock, or did it have a aftermarket bumper. Weight on the front end matters.

He hasn’t answered yet, but in our brief conversation his truck was stock.
He never used these they were brand new.
I think he went with Fox’s while waiting on these to be built and coated.
the control arms we not tightened yet. I was putting it down to tighten them.
He said they were removed from his low mileage truck so knowing that I didn’t figure they would settle any?
I’m just guessing but the springs have to be something other than stock?
I didn’t want to finish it 100% to have to take it back apart so I stopped to figure out what to do.

Could driving it settle it 2” ??
I could just tighten up the UCA and leave off the sway bar links and drive it but I just don’t see how it would settle that much?

I didn’t know if the UCA changed geometry enough to give a little more clearance somewhere?

Oh and yes mine is stock weight.
Are the spring rates that drastically different from 2wd to 4wd?
Could that make that much of a difference?
It would make since that 4wd springs would support more weight because of all the extra parts up there.

Hmm sounds like you need some more information from the seller. Also depending on where he ordered them from, I've seen cases where someone orders a set of coilovers and the wrong springs are installed causing a wild lift and awful ride. Unfortunately, the powdercoat may also mean you can't see any part numbers to check spring rate. If he can find an invoice or provide some part specific info that may be the best place to start. 2" to 4" seems too much of a difference between 4x4 and 2wd but I could be wrong there...

    I’m confused, which is it?
the reason I ask; I’m wondering if he fed you a line of BS.
Maybe I’m just too skeptical. This is why I don’t buy used aftermarket vehicles parts.

Yea, I saved some money by getting them but I would happily have paid more to be finished with no issues like this!!
Sorry to clarify, the struts appear brand new as he said.
The springs were taken off his truck and sent to powder coat and installed on the new struts.

I’m going to get up and if he hasn’t answered me by then, I’m going to lower the clip to the bottom or maybe #2 and see if that gets me closer to 2”.
I can drive it around and see where it settles and decide on what to do with the back.

Well he never answered, so I moved the clips to the #2 spot put it all back together and drove it around for a few miles.
This thing rides so much better!!
The steering feels better, like it doesn’t feel like it’s bouncing around so much when you hit a bump.
    It sits dead level now.
I don’t know what kind of springs they are but that #2 grove gave me exactly 2-1/4”.
Gonna put a 1” block in the back and install new shocks there and get the front end lined up.
    Thanks for all the input!!
