They are just at the beginning stages of pre rut here. Glands on my buck didn’t even stink yet. Was hoping to time my trip with full rut

Yea it’s usually getting going this time of year around here but either in remembering wrong (I’ve burned far too many brain cells for one life) or it’s lagging behind this year.

Great morning so far...a 125" 8pt with a g2 kicker, lots of small 8's and a buck with a gimped up rack. I've seen 9 different bucks so far, all because of one doe.
    Waiting on a good one..

Connected with the Spikehead that was out of range last week.
He didn't get a second chance.
He walked by 60 yards away, then 100 yds out he turns around and is heading to my ladder.
He was 6 ft away from my ladder and I shot high shoulder straight down. It was actually a tough shot to make.
Anyways, he took off and blood was everywhere like Tomato juice. Crashed into a tree 100 ft away.
Not a racker, but fine eats.
(Blood looks a bit foamy, no?)
