Unfortunately I can't offer any advice on the truck (other than the different trims come with different shocks to match the intended use) but from my experience on my mountain bike the compression and rebound settings on the shocks (plus tire pressure) can make a massive difference between a planted ride and being tossed about. I'm sure there are many threads about suspensions on this forum where you can get real advice. So far my OR has handled rough roads pretty well (better than the 4Runner, but that has 250k miles on the suspension so it's not a fair comparison). Oh, and my MTB trail settings suck on the pavement.

Well mine is an SR trim, I guess I expected it to be more like the 4Runner, however it is after all a truck which is front-heavy. The positives out of this is 4wd works very well and I can always do like an upgraded suspension setup and lower tire pressure a little. Where the the road creases/divots or w/e you want to call them were not present, the truck did well and didnt seem to care that it was muddy. It was moderately muddy/slippery and I just used 4H. By the time I made it up to the highway the truck was covered lol.

I have the sr5 trim. And being an access cab made it even more of lower end trim
No cargo light. No switch. No relay for said switch. But I have it looking and functioning as a trd pro!

Fyi, with an access cab you don't have the infamous leak like the quad cabs. Also, an LED brake light for 2nd Gens fit.

OEM Trail Edition Wheels. Not sure if they are special in any way. (Like Subaru used BBS to manufacture their OEM STI wheels...)

I like how it looks. They are only 1.25". It gave it a little better stance. And who knows what the future brings? ;]

And, that’s all that matters. It’s your truck, set it up the way you like it.

Very true indeed. When we started the "hellaflush" thing, with our Subarus, we caught quite a bit of flack. Enormous amounts of hate on the big forums like NASIOC. Then it turned into this entire scene. It was insane. It got to the point where I hated it and set the car back up for function. The stock Taco just looked a little "skinny". It needs a levelling kit too. The saggy butt is off putting. When I finally get a lift and some big offset wheels and tires, the spacers should be handy. :]

Did the trimming for the new wheel/tire combo, test drove around the city and took it up to Rowher Flats OHV. No rubbing so far.

installed the speedometer calibrator as well. Had to play around with tire diameter till I got the ratio just right. Speedometer is dead on now.
