This truck is fairly new to me, and I want to change the diff and transfer case fluids. Do the differentials have limited slip and is an additive for limited slip required?

i recently did diff fluid change on my 2018 sr5 2.7L. I used red line 75W85 GL-5 gear oil. working great over the months. going to change my transfer case oil soon...debating on using OEM oil or ravenol.

For transfer case Redline MT-LV is another option and the one I prefer.

Checks all the boxes in requirements, ie a proper Toyota 75W transfer oil substitute. Cheaper than the Toyota fluid. I trust the Redline product line and get almost all the different gear oils I need from them.

    I stay stocked in Redline's MT-90, 75w-85, and MT-LV.

I know, this post goes back to January but figured I'd give you an update. I got the rear diff fluid changed out and still need to do the front diff. Then the tranny and filter. Busy summer is all I can say.

Before doing the front, consider buying the Lexus fill and drain plugs. Makes the next change sooooo much easier.

"Lexus fill and drain plugs", this sounds interesting. You don't have a link for these do you or, a part number?

Changes the plugs from internal wrenching to external. Let me see if I can find the part numbers.
