I have a 2019 3.5 TRD sport with a 6 manual trans. I'm having a problem taking it out of gear it's only happened 4 times so far and shift great the rest of the time. It's done it 3 times coming out of reverse and once coming outta first. What would be causing this? It feels like trying to take it outta gear without pressing the clutch when it happens and the only way to get it outta gear is for me to pop the clutch. I recently replaced the clutch and flywheel also. Any idea what would be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Did you do the work yourself? If not take it back and have them look at it. One of the best pieces of advice I've gotten is start with the last thing that was touched.

What do you mean you have to pop the clutch? As in like while you're driving?

Did you have the slave cylinder replaced when you did the clutch? I’ve had mechanics tell me I don’t need to replace the slave cylinder with the clutch. The two times the slave cylinder was not replaced, it failed a month or so after the new clutch was installed. I now always have all the slave cylinder replaced when the clutch is replaced.
It may have been working good with your old clutch, but they both or worn parts that weakened together. The clutch springs are new and more stiff. The old slave cylinder is weaker.

I did it my self and by "pop the clutch" I'm mean letting it go real fast with out touching the gas then pressing it in again before it stalls out. After I done that it's like it never even happened and comes right out of gear and shifts normal. The last time it happened I was kinda riding the clutch a bit but I feel like that shouldn't really matter.

No I didn't it seemed like it was fine I feel like if it was the slave cylinder it'd be hard the get into gear to and not just out of gear and would also be more consistent instead it's only done it a few times. The clutch kit and flywheel are both aftermarket from Centerforce. I got heavier flywheel so it shifts better offroad. My thoughts were maybe it's that stupid clutch accumulator that toyota put on that might be messing something up. I know there's always thoughts little fingers in there that sometimes get out of alignment when you take the shifter out so you can drop the trans.

Sounds like air in the line or the accumulator going bad. Try bleeding it?

I suppose it's possible there's air in the line some how but they made so you can just crack the bleeder open and gravity does the rest I guess air could still be in it tho. Im not even really sure the accumulator can even go bad there's really no moving parts in it atleast it didn't seem to have any. I was gonna delete it anyways.

Was this issue happening before you replaced the clutch?

Was sliping because crap got in-between the pivot ball and release fork, because the inspection plate went missing somehow dirt was caked up in the places it shouldn't be. Had clean it out good lot of brake cleaner 10/10 wouldn't recommend haha

So I would start checking simple things like the bellhousing/ mounts are all torqued properly.
The alignment dowels for the transmission to engine are in place and none fell out?
Clutch pedal free play/height are adjusted properly?
Input shaft was cleaned well and lubed with moly grease?
Friction disk/pressure plate were flat and installed in their correct directions?
    Fluid level for fun-sies

I would also get a helper and safely with the ebrake on and maybe back tires in the air in 2wd, have the truck running with someone on the clutch in neutral and look in the inspection hole to make sure the disk isn't still spinning after like 15 seconds of holding down the pedal. Also try that check in 5th to make sure the disk isn't spinning

or the more dangerous test or having the truck with the clutch to the floor of course while safely on stands and put it in first with the brakes off but clutch still down and see if the wheels want to spin
