    Howdy,

Not sure why it took me so long but finally signed up to Tacoma world. I have been a fan of Toyota trucks for most of my life and have been a big fan of Tacoma's since I can first recall seeing one. I live in the New Brunswick area of Canada (next door to the right of Maine, if in the States).

My truck is a fairly bone stock 2015 SR5. I recall how I came about getting it. I just started a new career in my area. One of those jobs where you have to prove yourself for free for a few months as an unpaid practicum to see if you cut the mustard. I got hired on to the company, and then Winter hit. I wasn't making too much money when I first started so I bought a 2014 Corella. While it was good on gas it sucked in the winter as you often get storms which are buttload of snow, topped off with freezing rain and regular rain. I remember that snow would freeze in the wheel-wells and couldn't go much past 40 MPH in winter due to that. I got stuck one morning on my way to work in my driveway in the Corella and got into work pretty late that day. My boss gave me heck about showing up late to work, and I thought that it might be time to trade that car in for something that was more dependable in the winter. I went to the Toyota dealer after work and traded that sedan in for my current rig. I have never been stuck in the snow or late for work due to weather since I got it. In fact, one day I was the only guy to make it in to the office on time, I found out my boss got his BMW high centered on a snow drift that day which made me smile when he came in late.

After eight years I still look out in the driveway and marvel at my truck. She just hit 111200 miles on the odometer. I put as many off-road miles on as pavement miles and discovered that I have got the off-road bug since 2015. I haul junk to the dump some weekend and try to use it for what it was intended for. All in all I am still very happy with it. I hope to have the truck for many more years.
