Anyone have solutions to the sway bar end link bolt touching the coilovers? I was looking at the the sway bar relocation kit would that help mitigate this problem? Also don’t really want to delete the sway bar.. thank y’all in advance

Did that fix the issue? I see most people have the issue of the actual sway bar contacting the coils but in this case the bolt of the end link is an 1/8 of an inch from touching it and can’t find anyone on here that’s had this happen. I’m going to get a relocation kit and see if it does anything. Thank you

dropping the sway bar will rotate it a little moving it away from the coil. can also cut the excess off the end of the bolt

I most definitely would but I have a drop bracket lift and don’t know if higher center of gravity would make it more sketchy

20 minutes to pop it off and go toss it around in a parking lot and find out.

I dont think the relocate will fix this one.

I fixed one of these using questionable methods once. It was an FJ with a mega lift. We didnt want to toss the sway bar, and the relocate would have made the contact worse.

We braced it, heated the corner cherry orange and I bent it away from the coil over.

Thats right. I'm a hack. Fight me.

No fighting lol it was your vehicle do as you will with it.. yeah seems like there is not a solution that I am able to do or feel comfortable doing. What’s the worst that can happen if I just leave it as is?

this is an issue with the drop bracket lift. mounting position on spindles are wrong. probably designed for a 6" specific shock with the long skinny bottom where there would be no clearance issues here. what kit is it?

try cutting end of the bolt off. could even get a thinner nut and cut even more. should be plenty clearance

It looks like it’s already chipped off powdercoat and making contact. If it’s still making contact when your suspension cycles I would fix it. You don’t want it wearing material off your shock coil.

Not trying to sound like a wet blanket.. but if stability is a concern the 6 inches of lift is really what's working against you.

I don't recommend removing the sway bar either. Guys on here seem to think stiffer coil springs negates the need for a sway bar and that's simply not true.

Maybe try the Bishop approach, get it hot and bend it.. maybe fab up another relocation bracket somehow?

For sure lol when I purchased the truck I wasn’t aware that the crossmember was cut due to lack of knowledge of drop bracket lifts but now I’m just trying to make the best of it.
