First gens bought back by Toyota. What happened to them?

    I am curious if anyone knows what happened to all the first gens that Toyota bought back as part of their solution to the frame rust issue.
    Did they destroy them? Re-sell them? Or are they all sitting somewhere?

    Probably recycled by now.

    Volkswagen reprogrammed and resold the cars they bought back, but they weren’t ruined.

    Damn! Same as our gooberment did with all the beautiful U.S. M14 rifles us old farts love. It's so very sad to see such unnecessary waste!

    With Toyota a Major Liability Issue almost any part recycled from one of those trucks would have maybe finished Toyota in the USA

    Yes. I retired from a Fortune 50 company as did a life-long friend of mine. As the years/decades went by, we realized that no matter what was said by corporate, it was ALL about the money.
