In the far past I have owned an '03 and '04 Tacoma and I loved them but life happened and I lost them. Recently I was the owner of a '19 Ford Ranger for over 3 years and I loved it. Comfortable to drive and lots of power. It was an entry-level model that we got in Jan of '20 for a little over 26 grand. The only real problem I had with it was the transmission which was going to need replacing so we said goodbye to her.
After much research for what may be my last pickup, I decided on a 2nd gen Taco with the crew cab, 4x4, and a 6ft bed. It will be my 1st 4x4, just in case I suppose. I don't want a full-size pickup as I don't haul a lot although I will get another decked system as I loved it in the Ranger. I did a few mods to the Ranger such as running boards, leveling kit, and a brush guard so I will probably do the same to my future Taco.
I am saving up to buy one with cash but in the meantime I plan to learn more on what to look for...and what to avoid. Ya'll take care!
