really doesn't matter. plenty of ways around it either way. can easily sell it as a '90% complete kit', or sell individual parts that need to be welded, and that would circumvent most patent requirements

 

Again, I made the offer some time back and it still stands; get me a template and we'll make a set work

Was just cutting a set out about an hour ago today for a 1st Gen owner

 

It's not a 90 degree bend. There's a very slight angle to the bottom portion of the L.

Again, due to flange to feature one would use a die set to achieve an air bend.

Or just perform a relief cut.

The assembly is super easy to replicate based on what's shown.

Can you make use of F360 files? Another option would be getting measurements and sending you some models.

It's a shame these got disco'd, I like the design. Wouldn't be bad to have some different options for the tie-down plates either.

I never mentioned getting someone to draw it up as I'd want to make it as easy as possible for them

I make many one-off parts for people on the forum, I just don't advertise it

To be fair, I would assume the design doesn't need to match 100%, rather just accomplish the same end result. I could care less about the bottle opener plate part, but a hidden solution is necessary to work with my bed buildout.
I may attempt to make a template tomorrow, but I'm no fabricator so we'll see how it goes.

At this point I just need to do something, because I can see that my driver side tailgate gap is starting to spread itself out more than the passenger side. These beds are not sturdy at all.

What many members have done is simply use cardboard to make their own template for stuff

Shape as needed, and once done, lay flat and take pics

You would then provide measurements, and I'd send a mock up if you're questioning fitment, or go right to the final product

 

You can borrow mine. I've yet to install them

 

Between you and one other member that just PM'ed me, I'll have to take one of you guys up on your offer

I wouldn't want to post them up as an ad for sale but instead would just come back to this thread and maybe make a few to those interested hmmm
