Shoot okay I understand. So there’s no way for I can show you this? In the video it shows how the headlight turns on and off when you hold it in a certain position.

Photo of the connector from the face and how you hooked it up.

include both high and low beams for completeness.

Swap sides between the two harnesses and observe, report back.

basic troubleshooting 101. Show your work. Think it through. Match grounds (white w black stripe).

Everything connected fine it was the connection going into light with the 6 pins that we had trouble with. if you touched the connector you can see different modes of the light turning on and off like the drl and low beam.

Yes the mx-150 connector must seat completely. You are saying it does not snap in place? Even with a firm push? Does the other harness work properly for both headlights?

As soon as you let go of the connector in the back it turned off.

Does the driver side harness work properly on the passenger side? Does the passenger harness work on the driver side?

On this first photo you can see a flash on the right side that is the high beam working but the low beam does not want to work.

I don’t need any photos of the headlight output. That’s not what we are concerned with. We are troubleshooting the harness itself. If you have a known good harness and a problematic headlamp then I think you know what to do. If you confirm there is a problem with the harness it’s helpful to zero in on what that problem is. The face of the mx-150 connector should sit flush or slightly recessed from the outer black plastic. If one side is good you can compare the two. The retaining tab must click for full contact and a waterproof connection. It’s not yet clear where the problem is, headlight, harness or installation.

it does take a firm push to properly seat these.

Please do so. That will tell you something. If the problem follows the harness it means the harness is the root cause. If the problem stays with the headlight then it’s either the headlight or the connectors on that side feeding the harness. Double check the female H11 low beam to confirm a terminal has not been pushed out the back.

    The harnesses are symmetrical.
    All circuits are fused.
You clearly have some sort of problem, the question is what problem do you have?

    possibilities:

    • the Mx-150 connector isn’t fully seated and the result is low beam doesn’t make good contact
    • The low beam h11 female connector isn’t seated well to the male h9 connector.
    • The low beam h11 connector positive terminal is not fully seated and has a weak connection
    • The low beam h11 female is too loose to make good contact with the male h9 terminal.
    • The male h9 terminal is bent and not connected
    • The male h9 terminal on the low beam connector has pushed out the back and needs to be reseated within the connector
    • The Mx-150 connector has one or more terminals not properly seated causing flaky connections (presumably this would prohibit full seating with an audible click)
    • The headlight has a problem (noted that it’s been tested to work properly.)
maybe a few more but comparing a good side to a bad side visually should really zero in on the root cause. Swapping sides should shed quick light on things as either the problem goes away, it stays on the same side, or it moves to the other side.

One additional possibility which I didn’t fully spell out. If the passenger side MX-150 low beam terminal is not fully seated for some reason, which should prevent the white plastic TPA faceplate from seating fully, then it should be possible to push it foreward into the connector until it clicks and the TPA can be fully seated. A small flathead screwdriver can be used to fully remove that TPA to visually inspect. This could explain a problem which follows the harness itself from one side to the other.

it’s not a very likely scenario since I test every harness and ensure it clicks in fully and operates properly.

bottom line, it’s highly useful to determine if the problem follows the harness and persists. That proves installation is correct and the problem lies with the harness itself.
