Hey, Looking to my fellow TacomaWorlders for some assistance. Having trouble with my drivers side tail light. At times, it not on when my lights are on, but will work when the turn signal is engaged. Also it will light up when I push unlock on my key. However other times the light do come on. I haven’t been able to figure out a pattern. I’ve also checked that the bulbs aren’t burned out and are properly seated. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!IMG_0221.jpg IMG_0222.jpg

testing it with a volt meter would be a good start.

Do you hear an audible “click” when you push the connectors on? I had the same problem and determined the rubber gasket thing was preventing good contact. I would push as much as I could and it would work but as soon as the bed shook the connector would come loose.

It's a dual filament bulb, I would swap it with the pass side and see it if it changes or just replace it for peice on mind

Turn is one filament, parking light is another. Similar to brake and parking light.

swap sides between the two bulbs and observe. If the problem changes sides, it’s the bulb. If the problem stays on the same side, it’s the connector / connection.

assuming the problem is one side only.

it’s definitely interesting if both bulbs don’t have parking lights but brake and turn work fine. It’s possible both of the parking light filaments burned out at the same time. But a little unusual.
