Would You Buy A Tacoma On Amazon?

Starting next year you can buy a Hyundai on Amazon. They say other car makers should follow. Be interesting to see if you can buy a Toyota on Amazon.

Absolutely. Their return policy is fantastic. Don’t like how the tyranny shifts? Leave it on your doorstep and they come take it away.

I work for Amazon and even as a customer I think the customer service is amazing, if it beats dealership price sure

 

the current dealer model in general is going to change,,, most consumers have been shit full of it for a long time. I hope dealers adapt, as we need our vehicles serviced locally.

 

It's not going to be much different then buying a vehicle from Costco. Which has been a huge success.

 

Costco is a buying program, you don’t buy it through Costco.

 

I would enjoy seeing what beat up, overlanded out “new” truck shows up from a third-party vendor. Like the toilet seat I got last week that still had pee stains. Patina!

 

I would buy from wherever it is cheaper.
Be it direct from Uncle Jeff’s store or a stealership.

 

Well, they would probably advertise a taco, take your money, and then deliver ... a taco, maybe a burrito if you were lucky.

Amazon would ask you to return it, but then say they were just going to replace it with what you were supposed tk get. Maybe the next delivery would be a chalupa. Then, after conveniently making it impossible to speak to a real person with any ability to do anything, they would nuke your credit rating.

 

It sounds to me like Amazon will be the same thing. I think a number of states have bizarre laws on the books regarding dealerships (re: Tesla's constant fight to conduct direct sales). It would be a much easier model to contract with local dealers plus a few lenders and take a cut from both ends, rather than try to license as a dealer in all 50.

Absolutely yes. Avoid the games at the dealership, good customer service, likely better price too. Bonus if they deliver it too.

 

The corrupt government in New Jersey won't allow direct sales .They take the envelope from the car dealers.

 

Texas is the same. It's fascinating, Tesla actually set up their "dealership" on reservation lands in Oklahoma and then will transfer TTL/home delivery from there.

 

I’ve tried many times, but it’s buyer beware.

Knowing Amazons new return policies they will charge u some outrageous return fee .who is going to do the inspections on these vehicles some kid out of high school . Hard pass .
