Help identifying part on dash cluster 2003 Tacoma

    I was hoping someone could identify this part and it's function:

    This is a cluster I got from a salvage yard to swap the A/T P A/T oil Temp gauge into my 2001 Tacoma cluster. My 2001 cluster does not have one of these plugged in but it does have the slot for one. Just curious.

    I believe it's called a "meter control relay"
