Driver's side door won't unlock with remote

The driver's side front door will only unlock with the physical key. The remote unlocks the other 3 doors just fine. Anyone else have this problem and did you figure out how to fix it?

Same thing happened with mine. Ordered and replaced the door lock actuator and problem solved. You can replace just the motor in the actuator for about $30 but I went ahead and brought the new part. There are some videos available that show the step by step process.

 

Just had a similar problem with my granddaughter’s 2003. Apparently it just needed lubricating. The mechanic to the inside cover off, lubed it and it works like new again.
Hope yours only has the same problem with the easy fix.

Just gotta pull apart the door actuator. I believe my truck has had all 4 replaced now (i lost track)

 

Yes it does, that's what I don't get. It works every way except from the remote.

Just double checked, it does NOT work from the button in the door either.

 

So it doesn't work in either direction?

If that's the case likely the actuator has failed but you can check it by backprobing Pin 1 (Blue/Black) and Pin 4 (Blue/Red) at the actuator, putting a test light across them, and activating the door locks, if the light lights when the door locks are activated but it doesn't move you have a bad actuator.

Does the lock end up moving if you spam the crap out of the lock/unlock button on the door.


Either way im betting the door lock motor is bad/failing its a known issue 6 bucks and a bit of your time and you will be back up and running.

 

Ordered a new motor last night, and been looking at videos on replacing it.
