    Good afternoon everyone,
I just spent this weekend doing my valve cover gaskets (5vz-fe) and must have fucked up somehow.

After the repair, my truck started up fine and ran just long enough for me to get it out of the garage. Then it died. I tried to re-start it to no avail.

Now, my truck has the temp gauge on max, CEL on, and the airbag light on whenever the key is not in the ignition (see attached picture). When I turn the ignition on, the gauge cluster returns to normal.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. Luckily, my Tacoma is no longer my daily driver (or registered for that matter, but I plan to change that soon), so I'm not stressed. It's just annoying.

Maybe take a picture of the engine from a few angles.

The primary ground on the intake manifold near the oil fill neck is critical and can cause issues like this.

It was the ground! It looked fine, but I didn't fully tighten it. Thank you so much!

Posts like this help others as well, so leave it up for someone to stumble on when they are frustrated sitting in a dark garage haha.

    Glad it was something easy.

Will do! I'll even post a pic of the ground to make it easier
