18 rail ties and a couple of 12’ oak skids on a 16’ trailer. It was stable pulling but almost felt a shutter on acceleration. So for the longer trip these are making tomorrow I ultimately decided to trade trucks with my old man for the day. The big Cummins probably won’t even know they are back there.

PXL_20230604_195920642.jpg 2022 KZ Sportsmen (2800 lbs dry) That was my old tow vehicle and wives car. (max capacity was 3600 lbs) 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan V6 with 4.0 now I got my Beast Tacoma. Waiting on the redarc controller which will arrive tomorrow between 1:20 and 3:30. I am probably going to make a new thread because I have a question about it and Ive searched and come up with nothing. I think the hive mind here will produce interesting answers. Used a Husky Center Line TS weight distribution hitch with sway control and a Hayes Brake Controller.

Random long shot question: towing a SXS or Samurai sized vehicle, how does the truck do? My heaviest experience in this truck is about 3K trailer weight, just looking for opinions on single vs dual axle for a 3K samurai. Tow dolly is possible, but lockers and 33s stickies will make that option difficult.

Old man emu 3 inch lift with heavy duty tow springs, Injen intake, ripp coils, Corsa exhaust, body armor front and back bumpers…sound system with 2 Rockford 8’s, everything else Alpine
Tow it every day and it weighs right around 6800 often over 7000 depending on what other equipment I bring with me….regeared to 4.88 Yukons and for the sake of time…it’s so extremely modded it’s hardly a Tacoma anymore….these are older pics as well…truck looks a lot different now and trailer is even heavier….watch my most recent YouTube video….@prodigylawns

First time towing with my Taco! Load is just shy of 2k pounds. Around town I could hardly tell it’s back there, however RPMs were much higher on the interstate. Stayed in S4 around town and went up to S5 on some flat/downhill stretches of interstate. MPG dropped by 2.5-3
