I'm going to look at all the lines today. Also have a new PCV here and hose. I did almost all the rubber under the hood last year. I did not do the lines for the Evap.

here is the upstream and down stream O2's from the drivers side. I also do not see any leaks or heat discoloration on my cats.

Over the weekend I ran 3 bottles of cat clean in my truck. Did not help codes popped back after driving on the streets.

Why three bottles in one weekend? Seems like you're just wasting your money. How many miles did you drive?

About 150 miles up and down the 5 to San Diego. Ran the truck down to under a quarter a tank dumped in the cat clean ran to low fuel light. Reset the computer. Put in 4 gallons of gas and another can of cat cleaner, ext.

I was attempt to see if I could clean out the cats. The codes pending the check engine light hasn’t come back on because I haven’t done enough city, driving.

I reset the computer in the pending code comes on within about 10 to 15 miles.

Hmm. Sorry to hear that. Are you running the cat clean more concentrated than you should? or is that what the bottle says to do?

This was the list of things I did and I don't think it was any one of them but the combination.

I had a misfire so I change spark plugs then got a P0420
I only run quality gas now + I did lucas and duralast. I followed the directions carefully. each time it worked for about a month.
oil change + air filter (I did them as regular maintenance)
PCV valve and Hose and my code cleared itself. was $8 for the OEM valve.

All this was over a year, I did have an accident so I rebuilt my front end. New Radiator/AC Condenser. P0420 came back after the fix but the PCV valve swap was something my engine noticeably liked. It just runs better now.

Knock on wood.... mine code is gone.

I did make the fowler cheats but my 02 sensor is seized so I've not been able to do the cheat.

    Good Luck!

yes, that’s what the bottle said to do.

I’m getting right and left low efficiency codes.

I did spark plugs and coil packs, and April. I change the spark plugs at regular intervals,. And my maintenance is top-notch.

I am probably going to order O2 sensors this morning and see if that helps me out any.

I have all new rubber hoses in the truck. I did that last year including the hoses to go to the pcv , I also replaced the pcv recently with an OEM one from the dealer it was like 12 bucks

When you can get your 02 sensors off you can take a bore scope and get a look at your cat's. That should give you the info if they need replaced.

When we are talking about changing the cats are we talking the cats at the bottom of the truck or the cats that are right off the exhaust manifold? The sensor I have is right before the the one that is off the exhaust manifold I don’t really a see a sensor down stream from that…

One thing to keep in mind about running down to the low-fuel light -- at that level you may be starting to suck up accumulated old sediment and gunk that may be lurking at the bottom of your gas tank. Not good for the fuel-pump filter, or the engine if anything gets through the fuel pump filter sock.

the above is very confusing, and so wrong to say the least, no matter if the tank is full or near empty, the fuel pump pick up/filter sock is at the bottom of the tank, its an old wives tale, retold countless times.... now if you said don't run the tank low because the fuel pump is no longer submerged in fuel and may over heat id be in agreeance
