boot leak after alignment adjustment or ?

    Correct, drivers side started first, then I noticed both boots leaking after I cleaned everything up. About 40k on the clock. Total bill for the rack, both tie rods, etc. was $2,000 but all covered-thankfully! Hope it turns out OK for you.

    The rack is leaking. There shouldn't be any fluid inside the boots, it should be dry in there

    Im at 52k and doubt dealer will cover. I have good relationship so I’ll ask. Or drive it until my reservoir starts getting really low.

    It’s surface rust. Can be cleaned and coated fairly quickly. My truck has been taken care of, is yours much cleaner ?

    I’ve been told a seal from the factory can cause this, hence some leaking with 1000-20,000 miles. Some have driven with similar boot fluid for years with no real issue
