2023 SR5. The passenger side power window is dead. I know I could make an appointment at the dealer a half hour away, but I expect it's the fuse. So is it in the engine fuse box or the interior box? I thought I could figure it out from the diagram, but good golly, I cant get the cover off of either of them. I googled for ideas, but not much was helpful

So the question really is - how do you get the lids off? And yes I searched here for answers but again, wasn't able to find what I wanted.

    Thanks

Power is likely fused under the dash, inside the drivers foot well.

The engine covers have a single tab you depress and tilt the cover off. The tab faces rearward.

That's what it looks like, seems clear. And one YouTube made it look clear and simple. But my goodness, I can't give it enough to make it let go. And I have strong hands and fingers - many years of chainsaw work. I even ever-so-gingerly got in the gap with a screwdriver and tried it with that, and only managed to break off part of the tab. The guy in the youtube looked so easy at it. GRRRRRRR!!!

Well, ya learn something new every day.

I never had power windows before. My last Tacoma was a 2002, which I rode up until the state of NH said I couldn't any more, back last Feb.

So I also never heard that there would be a button on the driver's armrest, along with the up and down buttons for the windows, that said to the power windows - "You're locked down now, so don't move an inch, and don't make a sound! Oh, wait - this doesn't mean you, driver's window. You keep acting normal."

I had errands so I stopped at my mechanic's place and asked my questions. He looked in and said, "Well, your power window lock is on."
