Rotated tires yesterday and checked my front brakes and I'm amazed at their longevity. 153k miles on a 2007 with original brakes and all four pads are at 5mm and rotors are 24.8mm. Never had issue with them but I will change fluid as preventative measure since it's hygroscopic. Not sure if the pads are metallic or ceramic or something else...but that's what I call quality.

I replaced mine at 11 yrs. and 160k when I had my frame replaced. Had life left on them but figured I’d have I done while they had it all apart.
