    Hello everyone,

My friend is looking a small pick up truck in his budget. I always recommend him a Tacoma because myself I owned one the 1st gen. Love it. Reliability for sure.
I found a seller 1st gen 2002 Tacoma 3.4 l, not 4x4. Price asked 7500$ Canadian dollars. Frame never replaced by recall…The seller said it’s just surface rust…I would like to see your opinion if it’s worth to buy or not. I will try to attach the video from seller. Hope they work…Warranty recall frame replacement ended last July 2020, in Canada.

Your opinion would be appreciated. Would you buy this truck ? Thank you

This is the General Forum, for Toyota discussions not specific to year or model. The First Gen Forum is here.

Anyway some of us have abandoned Flakebook for various reasons, but yes, to have any sort of opinion on the condition of the frame we'd have to see it. If you can upload some pics I'm sure members here would be glad to advise.

Okay thank you. I am still new with this forum. I am learning. I couldnt take pics because the truck is 4 hours away from here. Seller sent me videos that s why I uploaded. It seems not working. So my friend has edit program, we selected few screenshot from the videos. I posted in different thread called: Need your opinion about frame 1st gen.

Some I got few replies...some said with tif files need to download. At same time, I am not an expert with that kind of technology on computer...

I'd suggest getting some really good pics/vids (JPEG, MPG or the like) and just upload the direct files/pics to the site.
Links are more finicky than uploading the files directly.
