Worst case you could always do a charge back with your credit card company. If needed, you have proof of communication and return tracking for the replacement. I missed the last deal and am hoping they have another sale soon.

Give them some time. Several have had issues with broken tabs, waiting for replacements and even a couple sent back and replaced under warranty. It's worth the wait and the price.

Any Tacoma influencers offering a discount code to get these headlamps cheaper? I was going to use Chloe’s discount code but I guess they’re not affiliated any more. I got quoted $1577 locally.

Enter the part numbers and compare prices. If you can find them for around $1200-$1300 that's pretty good.

$1710 for both lamps using the promo. So far it’s looking my buddy’s price through the dealer might be cheapest

I have a 2023 SR5. For me it's just a car that occasionally hauls stuff so not looking to upgrade much. I've not done much research yet. IMHO the halogen headlights are pretty bad for the year 2023. Am I really looking at a 4 figure price tag to upgrade what came with the truck to the next level up in more powerful headlights? It seems crazy to me to pay 2% of the value of the truck to get the headlights all the way up to RV/CX5/CRV standards (using those examples as a pretty basic threshold of a standard). Not looking to blind anyone I would just like to see if there are kids playing on the sidewalk at night in the neighborhood before I'm next to them. I've phone Toyota twice, emailed and chatted with them as well but nobody ever gets back, that's another problem in itself but I don't seem to be able to get the dealership to answer this question.

edit: I guess I am looking at at 4 figure price tag for new bulbs.

The H9 bulb upgrade is a great roi upgrade. It's the same H9 bulb that is the stock option for the highbeam, so, no more buying two sets of seperate bulb types.

You may need to trim the largest of the three locking/retaining ring tabs to the same size as the ones on an H11 bulb, but some people here have reported they have been able to fit the non-trimmed H9 into the headlamp and twist it into place with some finangling.

The H11 plug on the pigtail has a small green insert meant to prevent jt from fitting an H9 socket. You can either use a small needle nose plier to yank it out of the wiring harness socket, or use a small pair of sidecutters to trim the tab in the plug base of the H9 bulb.

The filaments are in the same exact spot, so no focus issues. The h11 is intended as a lowbeam bulb and has lower output than the slightly higher wattage H9. The H9 is a 65w nominal bulb, but the OEM wiring harness and fuse size will handle the extra wattage just fine.

Then, its never a bad idea to make sure your lamps are aimed correctly. A good read on how is availabke here:

Im not sure what dealers you're looking at but maybe they aren't applying the promo, you don't see the promo price until you "view cart". I just ordered a set for about $550 each side

Free shipping. That one is before tax, I found a couple other dealers with the same price or within a couple dollars that aren't charging tax

THANK YOU FOR THIS! It blows my mind the price difference from one dealer to another. I can't believe that I ordered them from a state/city that clearly has a higher cost of living than mine including shipping for approximately $600 less than what I would have paid locally including an employee discount.

Unrelated but I was able to order a bed mat for $101 through this dealer, so thanks for the link.

    Agreed!

I glanced through a couple of the pages here and I think this is correct that I can use the following headlights in my 16 taco. but I wanted to see if anyone who has the same truck as me swapped out the OEMs for these part numbers:
    81150-04300
    81110-04300

I have a 2016 TRD Sport. I've read that even though the https://autoparts.toyota.com site says it's not compatible, people on here mention that as long as it's 16-23 it should work. Is there someone who has a 2016 TRD Sport and installed these that can confirm?
It would also seem like I may need a harness too or is that just the SR model?
I'm located in Hawaii so unfortunately there aren't any dealers on the https://parts.toyota.com website since our local dealers have their own setup with Toyota that's not part of the national network from what I'm told. Any suggestions on that are appreciated, should I just pick CA and find some dealers there to ship, any recommendations on dealers?

    EDIT:
I see that I have to get a harness from FBC:
