    Previous owner lifted? 2"?
Need new shocks. Previous owner put on RS999226, which Rancho says are good for 0" of lift. But the guy said he lifted it 2". Real sorry I didn't get more info.

I read the back should have 3 leaves in the springs; mine has 4 so add a leaf for 1.5-2"? I can't tell what happened up front; nothing obvious. I can take pics if they'll help.

Hoping not to have to disassemble to measure everything. Center of hub to the edge of the wheel well flair is 23-24". Measured not on level ground. I think that's a few inches higher than stock but would dig confirmation..

My thought is to go with Bilstein 5100s, because they can be adjusted up front for lifts, and the rears are good for a 2" lift. Don't want to stay with the Ranchos; might be why they failed.

If I said too much, my question is does my hub center to wheel well flair measurement of 23-24" mean the truck is lifted 2"?

And would the Bilstein 5100s be a good shock if that's the case?

Stock hub-to-fender is approximately 21” in the front and 22” in the rear. Except on some special cases, you can use whatever stock spec shocks you want. The type of lift I think you have doesn’t matter.

EDIT: those measurements are for a 3rd gen.

I just measured my stock ‘04 Prerunner, 21” front and 22” rear.

Thanks! Just stopped by a shop that does lifts and they said there's no real sign of one. Rear leaves look unmodified; front has no spacers or obvious aftermarket coils. But if there's a need the 5100s adjust for lifts.
