My 93 Toyota pickup "project" has some issues, the biggest being that I have no way to get in the drivers side. The interior handle hasn't worked since I got it but then the outside handle quit working also.

Anyone have any suggestions of how to get this door open? I'm stumped.

coat hanger. Or pull the door panel off and do it manually but that might be hard with the door closed.

Should be able to grab the linkage with some pliers and a flashlight.. Or try removing as much of the inner door panel as possible until you find the linkage to pull to release the handle

There isn't a whole lot of the door panel I can remove with the door shut. I got the outside handle pulled partially out and I can see that the rod inside moves with the door handle like it its still attached and working.

How would I be able to make the slim jim or coat hanger work?

Um, I don't think he's locked out, he just can't open the door. But that would work for a lockout situation.

There no such thing as a girl on the internet. Much less on a forum about trucks, haha.

As for help: I would vote for prying back the door panel from the inside as much as possible, it might give you a better view inside at the linkage than just looking through the outside handle would.

Well there is a girl who does do the work on my toyota. Mind you i am learning how to fix the issues or upgrades that come up. I love my toyota and I don't trust a lot of people saying they can fix it. Usually I end up buying parts that I do t need or heaving to send parts back to get the rights ones. I do thank all who have given me advice ect. Without this forum I wood be up a river without a paddle, lol.
