Had an older gent on a hunting lease locally that would drive his old truck out in the middle of a field. Open a bag chair in the bed, crank some Hank up, and start drinking beer. He’s killed as many as anyone else out there and regularly. Maybe not all trophies, but they fill a freezer just the same. He’d always say, ‘deer are curious creatures and curiosity gets them dead’…or something like that.

I've never found a decent recipe for horns. I grew up hunting back east and we had a very simple motto. If it's brown it's down.

I walked my couple of lanes I have behind my house in the woods and jumped two juvenile bucks. I’ll give them a few days to maybe a week to simmer back down and then do it again with intent this time.
