    A quick snow review.

These tires have been absolutely amazing in snow and ice! Very confidence inspiring and no issues at all with traction.

KO2s are much better than ST MAX on dry pavement and in snow FWIW. It’s all about the use case.

They remind me of these stupid Nittos. C073E3B4-8AB7-4083-98F7-825F4BACD8F8.png

if you want a tire that’s good in everyday conditions and snow and ice get something with zigzag siping and good quality pliable rubber. Like a Michelin defender.

might you want something middle-of-the-road buy whatever decent tire is on sale. Cooper AT3 fits that bill.

if you need a mud tire, we’ll… you probably don’t need mud tires. Buy some v bar chains. Go get stuck, then use your chains.

If you’re buying a cool off-road expedition rig kinda tire, buy whatever you want. There’s not a lot of difference and if you’re worried about looks, well…. Buy what grabs your eye.

defenders and chains are the best solution if you ask me, but I’m a PNW/Vancouver Island guy and I see lots of water and lots of ice. No bottomless mud.

if I wasn’t buying Michelins I’d probably buy coopers for value and made in North America

I’ve been drinking. Forgive the rant.

ehhhh not sure why K02 getting so much crap on here, I have buddies who run other tires (don't recall brands right now) and most of the time my KO2 out performs them and the tires last longer. My buddy is on his 3rd set of mud tires and I'm still 30k pushing my K02 with about 50% life remaining on my E-load.

Ultimately, I believe its the terrain and driver which dictate "tire performance", not the actual tire itself. I've beaten and mobbed with stock Tacoma tires and gone many places with them as well. Shit, even stock Camry tires. Deserts to high mountains......just sayin. why the hate? Cost?

It’s because KO2s are overpriced, I think. They’re not bad tires, at all. I think it’s just that you can get the same or slightly better performance for less. Wildpeaks, Toyo AT3s, Grabber ATX, Nokian Outpost, the list goes on.

I run KO2s because they’re what is stocked in the middle of nowhere. If I need a replacement, I can get one more easily. There’s something to this, imho.

In Canada Falkens cost more, you get some good deals on tires in the states. I bought my new tires off of a guy that had a new Jeep and was putting on 37s right away. 5 - 285 70 17 C Load tires for $900 cdn.

Came here for the OP on BF Goodrich Trail Terrain and found a bunch of people arguing about completely different tires.

How are they in heavy rain?

    Hi TW,

Happy Holidays! For those of you who have BFG Trail Terrain tires, do you love them? Costco out the door price is $890 vs $1200 for K02s.

I have the trail terrains great tires . They ride great… quiet on the highway … do well in rain . Haven’t tried them in snow yet but on dirt they grip really well . Will definitely purchase another set once these wear out so far I have put 10k miles on mine and they still look brand new .

I have had 2 replaced for being out of round and unable to be balanced under BFG Warranty. I have another one that takes a ton of weight. Using factory TRD wheels, never bent or hit. I think they are not their best offering if you want my experience. I have 15,000 miles on them so far.

Just got a set of the Trail Terrains last week. Love them so far, we’ve had snow in Michigan and they have done well. Hopefully long term they hold up. The ride is nice on the highway. Came from stock, they a feel a bit softer if you will. I also put some Nomad Convoys on also. 4D312172-5846-44C7-B9E7-3B08BE96F095.jpg

No strong opinions, rarely off road outside of the beach, mostly selecting for snow, sand, and style. I have LT275 70R 17 KO2 and my biggest takeaway is I should have got Load Rating B instead of C. There wasn't a B available at the time. For my usage the B is just too bumpy and I need to run the PSI pretty low (25-30) in order to let the suspension do its job. Have to stare at the dumb low psi light all the time ha. Anyways lesson learned for next time and just sharing in case there are some that off road less but are looking to buy.
