Anyone know if the extra skid plate on the TRD Offroad will fit without issues on a TRD Sport? Thanks in advance for any information.

They should fit, but you're being a little generous calling it a skid plate.

Yes, it does. You lose the black chin spoiler in the proccess.
My Sport had the TRD crash plate installed by the dealer before the sale. Works fine. I do not do any rock crawling, so it works fine for logging trails, farm and woods on the property.

As all said above, it does, but it's worth about as much as the stock Sport guard.

For 200 bucks you can get the knockoff aluminum skid that offers more protection than the OR guard. For pushing down branches and small rocks, the aluminum skid is the way to go.

You aren’t giving the TRD skid enough credit. It can support the weight of the front of the truck. Mine is scratched, gouged, and bent but keeps on ticking minus the red plastic T. My OR splash guard is scrap metal on my garage floor.

One small advantage of IFS over solid axle is the front dynamic ground clearance. You can slide the IFS skid over a rock and keep the front tires on the ground rather than slamming your front diff into it.

I don't think we're talking about the aluminum trd skid that comes on the pro. Pretty sure this is just the steel wafer thin skids we are talking about it does have an extended portion over what the sport comes with.

But I agree with what's noted above invest in somthing that will protect in the event of an oops. I don't intent on dragging my skids but there's been a few times I was glad it wasn't the stock tin.

I would recommend looking into okx or greenlane they offer excellent aluminum options for a few more pesos.

I second the OKX skid, it's very well made and quite affordable in USD, even with shipping.
