I had never heard of fluid film before reading about it here and have decided to give it a shot. I am fortunate to have a 2004 DC without rust (yes, I have been under it on a lift to look). What is the consensus on original vs black?

Fluid Film comes in original and colored black (to match previous paint or undercoating according to the website). I assume the original is clear.

The original will have a slightly yellowed or tan tint to it. It’s not clear

I enjoy the black for the first two
days before the dirt road dust covers it.
It will look great for longer depending on where you are driving. Like the original for things under the hood. All personal preference. The protection is the important thing.

I use the black. Easier to tell where I need to add more

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
They add graphite to make it black.
