We go up to Crown King come out near Cordes, then loop out near Sheeps Bridge and come out FR24 past Sears Kay and into north Scottsdale. It's a great day on the trails!

That’s with no front locker and using MTS as well.

They’re 315/75r16 Yokohama Geolandars G003 MT. They’re technically 34.8.

 

Funny because I feel like I’m being forced into going to 17s, I’d rather have more rubber but the 16” rim options are pretty slim.

Is that why you stayed on 16s, more rubber ?


I fooled with the mts once or twice, it sounds like stuff is breaking and I was only in a flat wash!


Which front locker did you go with?
At some point I was thinking marlin crawler or taco box but I’m barely a weekender.

 

Yeah I like more rubber between the wheel and ground. I get into my wheel a lot less with 16”.


Most 35/12.5r17 measure 34.5. So there really isn’t a gain by going “true” 35s compared to a 315/75r16.

I haven’t gotten a front locker yet. I keep going back and forth between an eaton locker or ARB air locker.


Yeah eventually I’ll go long travel or marlin.
If I could do an FJ T case conversion that would be the ultimate goal

Have a trip to Joshua Tree soon, I'm excited to test out all my new toys got a new cab flat rack and bed racks threw all my gear on em and I'm ready to get out there.

 

How much clearance do you figure you lost with the front hitch? I have a hitch mount for my winch, but only a mount on the rear. Don't know if I want to lose too much clearance.

 

Very little to none. I have not had the winch strike that I could tell. no tell tale dirt or mud either.

 

Thanks. Probably not any room for a skid plate? I can't see one on your truck.
