:hungry: Good Morning and Happy Friday Porch Pals and Sue! Hope everyone had a great day!! Yep, it's that Friday - which now lasts for weeks anyway. Sun is out, so the outdoor Christmas will go up, more football will get watched, and a leftover dinner will be served. Son took a bunch; this time he brought his own tupperware LOL! Just before George Hamilton came in - somehow got busy and didn't get the cutting board shot.

Now that is two beauties right there! That motor is close to my junkyard ball, but still not the exact model. But every good pic I see, I see a little more of what it is supposed to look like! Looks like a well financed organization! thanks for sharing!

@Oldie2007 They are one of the biggest i think, they have like 4 or 5 Corsairs they are working on at the moment, out in California.

Tom Reilly is one of my friends, I could send him a pic of your engine, he could probably tell us exactly what it was out of if you want. I'm sure he has at least one book on it..

Tom is one of the leaders in Warbird restoration, and an Expert in all things radial. He owns our B-25 Killer B https://www.valiantaircommand.com/portfolio-collections/post-war-wwi-wwii/b25-mitchell and also owns the only flying XP-82 twin Mustang in the world, https://www.valiantaircommand.com/portfolio-collections/korean-war/xp-82-twin-mustang , it's also at our Museum here in Titusville.

How many pounds? How many hours? Could you cook a Turkey on a regular gas BBQ?

I got the new old stock pully for the snowthrower last week. Pretty lucky to find this and it was only $15 on ebay. Tecumseh went out of business years ago and some of the parts are getting hard to find.

The old one was cracked in 3 places. By both dog pins and where the rope attaches.

I got the new Chinese electric starter mounted. Works great!

I forgot to put this cooling shroud on, I think I've removed the fuel tank like 5 times now because I keep forgetting stuff, lol.20231124_162356.jpg
Then I got the new oem muffler installed.20231124_161722.jpg
    Neew bolts and lock tab.20231124_163722.jpg
Looks better and will seal now and not rattle.
    20231124_163726.jpg
The older one didn't have this mounting tab, it may be why it came loose. Old one probably wasn't oem.
    20231124_163735.jpg
It's getting there, almost done. Just need to install an inline fuel filter and start it to adjust the carb. I'll Then drain the fuel for storage and it will be ready to go if we get the big snow.

Yeah, those parts are tough to find. I still have a death-gas (2-cycle) toro snowblower that has to be 25+ years old. I keep it running just fine. I had trouble finding a gear ring for it. Today I put 50:1 gas in it and it started on the first pull. I just can’t justify spending $1000 on a 4-cycle one just yet.

I never have, but I used a Weber round before, with coals off to the side and smoking chips. You could, and I would expect that to be an ideal way with a rotisserie motor - if it fits! Or cook two small ones crammed in there! And you can get little smoker boxes.
George was 15.4 lbs. ~18 minutes a pound at 275 on the smoker. Long as you get it so 165* internal to the breast.

RJ, thank you VERY much for the info. Before I jump the gun, let me check with the main guy at the hangar, and make sure it's not something that would be "problematic" for anyone. It's a small world, a lot of these people know each other, and (as I have discovered over listening at lunch), not always a perfect world! Of course, it might be "that guy" in California who is a great help!

I only started this year at the hangar, and inherited the motor because I am not A&P certified at all, and have enough knowledge to not ruin something that's already broken!

    Again, THANK YOU!

    Where is the snowblower???

I couldn’t sleep so I thought I would do my share and get the porch blower RTG.

    It’s not here.
The shed was locked but it was not in the spot specified..
No note on the white board.

    Not my problem anymore..
    I’m making EggNog coffee.

If someone took upon themselves to prep it, that’s fine.
    I don’t know.
I didn’t do very many this year and no single stages.
    So if it’s gone, I don’t have a replacement.
Y’all bring your shovels if you wanna sit….
