Hey y'all. Thought it was about time I got a remote start kit, living in consistent 30 to -30 degree temps here in the winter. Got an N2 Designs kit for my HKey 2017 Tacoma.

The TPMS wire is where things went really wrong. I stupidly cut it so close to the connector I have no wire to work with. What are my ways of remedying this, I have barely any space to work with (see pic). I know the remote start should still work without this bypass but still a pain in the butt.

Also for some reason, the module itself wont actually program? Its flashing all the lights super fast and never going to solid blue and red. Wondering if anyone has had these problems. Tried to reach out to N2 because I've read they have great customer service, but not expecting much from the weekend and it being the holidays. SOS!

    Thank you all.

Thought the overpriced n2 was plug and play no extra wiring needed.

Is it the tiny green stub top left? Get yourself a posi-lock type connector, it just screws on essentially.

Yeah not exactly, but I should say, I was just supposta cut and strip one wire, and I managed to get confused. Lesson learned though! I thought I understood what had to happen but actually didn't. And I don't know if I bricked my friggen module but it sure feels like its bricked... so fun.

Maybe for the push to start models I think? I still have a keyed ignition.

Toyota sells repair wires with a terminal crimped. Not excessively expensive either. Just need to identify the part number.

Oh beauty. I can see some of their beefier wires, so gonna see if I can find what I'm looking for. In the meantime gonna go for a quick and dirty repair if I can.

Sorry for the spam on my own thread. Think I could get away with a tap splice?

Hope you didn’t pay over $199 for that one. But anyways should be an easy fix.

Hopefully. I did unfortunately after reading reviews...I'm starting to think my module is bricked or something. The wire is my own damn fault though, thinking a crimp connector might be the best with how short of a wire and workspace I have.

Should be a fortin box go in fortin.ca and look up your model and look for troubleshooting.

are you releasing the program button at the correct time. I guess it’s not already programmed but I can’t remember

Yeah definitely a fortin box, an EVO-ONE. Looking through the troubleshooting stuff I'm not getting much info about what could be going on with my box. It's just flashing every color in sequence but never going solid red and blue. Strange.

Relax n2 will make it right if you bricked your unit. They will send one out immediately. Ask me how I know. Justin was the person I talked to a couple of years ago.
N2 strives for the best customer service anywhere. Don't email call them! They pick up.

Flashes blue if it’s programmed correctly. Then slowly press lock button 3 times. Like lock 1 miss lock 1 miss lock should then crank.

Thank you for the reassurance, makes me feel better. I don't do a lot of installs or anything so fudging this up in two ways doesn't feel great haha.

Beautiful, thank you so so much for this too. Don't exactly know how I'll get the wire out initially, but might try some sort of crimp connector first so I don't do too much or damage much more!
