im dealing with a rogue circuit and I’m going to have to shut the house down to find the circuit to cut power. I’ll add more notes to the box when I do it.. I’ve only changed the circuit diagram like 4 times since I lived here. One circuit shuts one side of the downstairs when I shut down the upstairs bedroom.
    LOL

my 10 year old truck had a first yesterday. Flat tire, out of state. Bottle jack has never left the cubby. Every thing worked fine though. I'd replaced the spare several years ago just because. Held it's air and got me home just fine. Other than looking ridiculous.

Time for a new set. These Michelins went 115k in 4 years and still have life based on tread depth...but shit. I cannot complain. Hope i can get another set of the same. I did not realize the mileage. Just goes to show what rotating can accomplish.

I'm on my second set of Michelins, been very pleased with them. Though mine aged out before they wore out

Bought my first new set of tires ever for my truck 3 years ago just before I retired.
I’m a cheap soab and would mount customer take offs for all my career.

I got a flat on sidewall on one of my tires - stock Goodyear Wrangler, manufactured Feb 2014. 78k kilometres. I figured it’s at least partly age-related. Decided best to change all fours. Am gonna have 4 Nitto Nomad Grapplers 265/65r17 installed for $1300 cad all-in. Also will be replacing spare tire and wheel. 10yrs is too long for tires, right???

I figure 8 years for tires. Compounds have been engineered better (softer) so they weather in time, even if it just sits in a garage. I replaced the original Dunlops in 2021 after driving it home 200 miles with 19-1/2k on the odometer. I usually drive about 8k per year, and now I split that between two rigs (so both will need new rubber in 2030). Next time, Barcelona Red might get Falken WildPeaks to replace the Michelin Defender LTX ATs, if these tires are still being made (or renamed). You are correct, sir...

So, was scheduled to install a kitchen floor today and tomorrow (luxury vinyl plank). Old floor was already pulled up and subfloor was in good shape. Weeks ago, I told customer to let the flooring acclimate for a few days (open packages and stack nearby).

I text them yesterday to remind them I'll be there in the morning. They were literally at Lowe's picking out the floor and the one they want is 3-5 days out (which probably means 2 weeks).

    Price just went way up!

I'll be adding a fully day to the bill. It was such short notice, I wasn't able to fill today.

Probably good as my lawn now has 2,567,346 leaves from the storm that blew through last night and my gutters a full again.

    Clean up aisle 2!

@Sig45 Look at this classy build.. 6x newels, 4x balusters, angles at the top and bottom of the rails are off, and built over a concrete deck thats sinking against the house and cracking the foundation.. but at least he has an unstable assed driftwood railing to tie the whole thing together.
