It did spit out a chunks of grey foam. First I thought that vents were coming apart. But after few chunks that went out flying out of both side vents all stopped and foam is not coming out anymore. All vents are functional, the hot/cold door is working well so I caledl it a pass. This happened long, long time ago. Maybe 2010, or so. I don't remember precisely.

ok thanks! no needs to worry!, since it happened to you so long ago you would probably notice vibrations/rattling going on?
I usually always have it set to the fresh air and not the recycled so there is a constant breeze coming through

The only bad thing could happen is if the foam was going through windshield vents and block these slots. But I guess it would be easy to clean it anyway.

But I keep the air direction to the windshield most of the time (except when my wifi needs air) and it did not block it. Side vents are always open.

Necro post as I was looking for this to see if i could make use of the wiring.

Slapping in a paranoid fab duel switch bracket cause i meed me more switches and i have to move my head to see the clock so always check my watch or phone anyhow.

If anyone needs a 2001 red led clock, mine should be available soon.

Stoked on the four wires already back there, should work great with my plans to have the switches power relays via both a full time 12v source and switched/aac source and then also power the switches illumination with the "ILL" wire Hot damn if i could get the clock side connector to make it a PNP setup would be even better.
