Same tip I got: Be prepared to dremel out the opening a little bit to get the unit to fit properly. Also, I tried to reuse the plug that attached to the lighter, but just wound up snipping the wire and reattaching. There's not a lot of extra wire there, so be conscious of that too. Good luck!

 

Here’s a super simple but very useful one for the SwitchPros users. I have the SDHQ SwitchPros mounting solution that deletes the empty coin slot binnacle to the left of the steering wheel. Super clean mounting, but it also positions the keypad out of my line of sight behind the wheel & turn signal stalk. If you’ve ever used these membrane-style keypads, you know that everywhere on the keypad feels the same and not only can you not discern which button you’re pressing, you really can’t tell if your finger is even on a button at all. This little keypad cover gives each switch a distinct border, making it easy to quickly identify your switches and know exactly where to press without putting your eyes on the keypad or while wearing gloves. $30 for it is robbery, but it solves an issue that I wanted solved.

This is the first time I haven't hated the look of the switch pro. Nicely done.

 

After searching around...I LOVE the look of this mount...I had a beautiful Mob Armor magnet mount on my 2nd gen that nicely attached to the face of the Metra after market kit...
There's noplace on the 3rd gen to "Stick" the magnetic plate that gives you any kind of reasonable visibility...I love the car play but also prefer the phone in visual line of sight...

 

The look itself of the SwitchPros keypad really never occurred to me, but the cover certainly does make it look more rugged. Same effect as swapping OEM keyfob internals into a MESO Customs case, I suppose.

 

You have a few small bubbles in that 2nd pic. I had the same issue. Take a safety pin and poke the tiniest of holes in the middle of it and use your fingers to push out the air. You won't see the tiny hole due to the texture of the door sill cover.

Thanks Brother I really love the lift and new tires and this taco is my favorite truck to date . I’m Heading to SoCal to visit family. Might be moving out there I’m tired of the winters and all the rain in Oregon although beautiful I prefer the coast and less rain and more sunshine. 70 to 80 all year round with sunshine is much more enjoyable and desirable to me .

Most SwitchPro’s mounts have the panel flush which looks better but prohibits the use of the keypad cover.

 

Southern California weather is the best. If I stay in California after I retire I will definitely be moving south to the high desert.

 

My solution was wheel mounts on the back crossbar of my roof rack. Bikes stick up a little higher, but no problem closing the tailgate.

Sounds like the harness I need for the backlights. Back when I bought my DD fogs, I didn't know they don't work with Oem Led headlights.
