Tesla style head unit

My experience is they don't ever have these sales, unlike phoenix automotive tesla screens that look identical to me. I've been keeping an eye out for nearly 2 yrs and nothing but the 50 dollar code as been the case for aucar while phoenix usually does large slashs during the holidays, they also have the latest version android 12 but I seen others on this thread say they weren't happy with their the phoenix so idk

 

On Aucar's fb they said they would have a sale soon (this was in october) and now they've raised the price 100 bucks putting it well over 1k xD
that's the opposite of a sale lmaooo

Eric just sent me the change log for the update.


The updated content is
1. Compatible with the latest ios17.03 and android auto.
2. WiFi and carplay can be used at the same time.
3. Fixed the bug that the screen may go black during sleep.
4. Optimized the system.

I still haven’t had time to update. But the WiFi and CarPlay looks like a good feature.

 

Just follow the instructions on the first page. You will want to use a small 16gb flash drive. I had issues with the bigger ones.

also seems like people in this very thread here say their phoenix didn't fit well
seems like people have more positive things to say about Aucar despite not even having a bbb

I have a 2014 Tacoma with factory GPS/Navigation and XM satellite radio. When installing the AUCARAUTO tesla head unit, might anyone here know which adapter to get from DiscountCarStereo in order to keep both the factory GPS AND the XM satellite? Is that even possible, or will I need to choose one or the other?
