According to the buttons no, it has no rear locker (standard/exclusive on TRD OffRoad models) and no inverter (standard on TRD OffRoad models)

I don't recall the OR having the SR5 badge on the tailgate.

Earlier ones did but later ones did not, all of them have a rear locker though so that one is likely an SR5 that someone dressed up as a TRD OffRoad.

This truck also has Tforce wheels, which would have been from Gulf States, or SE Florida. Good chance that it's Rwd, the lack of the rear locker is the only true indicator.

Yea it probably came with the TSS appearance package that seems to be pretty common where I am, I believe it's just port installed wheels and decals.

    4 run, 2 don't
No rear locker so not an offroad

No hood scoop so not a sport

If those mudflaps are original to the truck, its a two wheel drive

It's so dumb that those stickers can be sold to anyone. How many threads have we seen where fake TRDs were up for sale.

Yeah I was thinking that it definitely isn’t a TRD sport off road or whatever. I haven’t bought the thing but info can get clouded on these. When I run the vin through Toyota it states base model but from what I’ve read that can be left to interpretation.

This sort of thing is common and has been for years. I've seen base Chevy trucks with Z71 decals for 30 years. Probably the biggest rip-off is the base Wranglers with Rubicon decals. That should be easy to figure out, but occasionally I read about someone overpaying for a base Wrangler because of the decal.

Q: Is this a TRD Off Road? - it has no decals

A: Yes it is - don't fall for the decals.

Get a dealer (parts dept) to run the Vin, that will clearly tell.

Here's what the Toyota.com search-my-VIN shows for my 2015 DC TRD Off Road. Note the specific option package is listed on that sheet. I think your radar on the original truck is right on -- it ain't a TRD Off Road.

Toyota's use of "base" is kind of crazy. All kinds of variants fall into that category so it's really a meaningless designation.

this is a massive help! Either the guy that’s selling is mislead or he’s trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I went to Toyota today and asked but of course they were more interested in putting me in a new Tacoma rather than telling me about this specific one. Oh well, I think I’ve got my answer now.

    Thankyou so much!
